Tim Hjermstad is a highly skilled Senior Director of Safety with over 30 years of experience in electrical construction, industrial environments, commercial projects, and power generation. He is a recognized expert in electrical safety, NFPA 70E, accident investigation, risk management, insurance claims management, and OSHA standards (CFRs), contributing his expertise to high-risk, high-performance operations nationwide. Tim holds multiple professional credentials, including CUSP (Certified Utility Safety Professional), ARM (Associate in Risk Management), CSM (Certified Safety Manager), and OSHA Outreach Trainer, and has served as President—and now Board Member—of the ABC Self-Insurance Group Board of Directors. Known for his behavior-based safety leadership, proactive and forward-thinking approach, deep technical and regulatory knowledge, and strong problem-solving mindset, Tim is driven by a commitment to prevent injuries, protect lives, and foster a culture where safety is a shared responsibility. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time at the gym or relaxing with his English Mastiff and grandkids.
